ZEPHYRHILLS -- The Pasco County Sheriff's Office is investigating a string of burglaries over the weekend at three community clubhouses and a church recreational facility.

In all four cases, somebody pried open the doors, searched the rooms and left with cash.

Even a locked safe proved not secure enough.

At the Colony Hills Mobile Home Park community center at 35144 Wagner Way, the office safe was found pried open Monday morning, according to reports.

The bingo money was gone.

The Sheriff's Office would not disclose how much was taken. Nor do they know what tool was used to break the front door lock or pry open the safe at the Colony Hills clubhouse.

But residents saw a similar scene at three other facilities Monday morning, according to reports.

At the American Condominium clubhouse at 35106 Condominium Blvd., someone crawled through a window and then pried open the locked office door, reports said. The money inside was missing.

At the Celebration Church of God at 35636 State Road 54, someone broke into the sports complex buildings behind the church, reports said. The vending machine inside the Solid Rock Cafe was pried open, and an undisclosed number of quarters were taken, the report said.

Money was also taken from the cafe's cash register and from a jar in an adjacent sports office building, reports said.

And at the Zephyr Shores Estates clubhouse at 35112 Ada Ave., someone forced open a locked office door to steal the money inside, reports said.

Anyone with information about these burglaries may call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office toll-free at 1-800-854-2862.
