Chasco Fiesta to take a bite of Big Apple

"Broadway Review" takes the stage at 6 p.m. today. Also, the "Native American Festival and Dance Competition" continues. Chasco Fiesta will take on an air of New York City tonight, as "Broadway Review" takes the Sims Park stage in New Port Richey from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Among the performers are Mikki Taylor, Mary Anne Edwards, Gabrielle Mirabella, Michael Martin, Sally Langlois, Tammy Jo Dry and Ashley Post. The "Native American Festival and Dance Competition" continues with a full schedule today and every day through the end of Chasco on Sunday. Events start at noon and continue until 9 p.m. PROGRAM SCHEDULE Noon-1 p.m.: "Living on the Plains," a tepee/visual primitive skills demonstrative by Little Big Mountain 1-1:30 p.m.: "Warrior on Horseback," a history of the horse and the native peoples, by Chipa Wolf 1:30-2 p.m.: Tommy Wildcat, flutist of the year 2-2:30 p.m.: Dance and drum presentation by the Iron Mountain Dancers 2:30-3 p.m.: Ron Colombe, Lakota, Native American poet/author 3-3:30 p.m.: Billy Lacey, Cherokee, storytelling 3:30-4 p.m.: Salinas Family Aztec Dancers 4-4:45 p.m.: "Living on the Plains" 5-5:30 p.m.: Warrior on horseback 5:45-6:15 p.m.: Ron Colombe 6:15-6:45 p.m.: Tommy Wildcat, flute 7 p.m.: Iron Mountain Dancers, Big Mountain Family. In addition, the West Pasco Kiwanis Flea Market continues from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today in the New Port Richey Recreation Center on Van Buren Street. And the carnival and nonprofit food booths will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Today and Thursday, patrons can buy wristbands to ride all the rides they want for $15 at the carnival ticket booth or, before 5 p.m., for $12 at the Chamber of Commerce. Thursday's highlights are the Cotee River Lions Club corned beef and cabbage dinner ($5.50) from 4 to 8 p.m. and the "Rhythm and Bluesmasters Concert" from 6 to 10 p.m., starring Bob Margolin's All Star Blues Jam featuring Willie "Big Eyes" Smith and Bob Stroger, Hubert Sumlin, T.C. Carr and the Damon Fowler Group.
