The ultimate event in the 81st annual Chasco Fiesta is put on by its newest participant, Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation.

The event is the 11th annual Suncoast Sampler, a food tasting feast that features some of the best restaurants in Pasco and Hernando counties.

For $25 in advance or $30 at the door, patrons can sample food specialties from more than 25 area restaurants between 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday at Gulf View Mall.

"We're going to have sliced prime rib sandwiches," said Jeff Fisher, store manager for Sam Seltzer's Steakhouse. "It will be served au juice, with horseradish sauce available. We'll make them on French bread."

Chili's Grill and Bar is bringing its much-sung-about baby-back ribs.

"We'll also be serving fajitas, chips and salsa," said Steve Byrd, Chili's general manager. "The fajitas have marinated chicken with grilled onions and peppers on flour tortillas."

Chocoholics will be pleased that both Chocolates by Michelle and Grandma's Candy Kitchen will be present.

"We'll have strawberries, potato chips and pretzels dipped in chocolate," said Helga Kerrigan, the "grandma" in Grandma's Candy Kitchen. "We'll also have our chocolate seashells filled with custard and raspberry. They're delicious."

A newcomer to both Pasco County and to the Suncoast Sampler, Francesco's Italian restaurant, is serving an appetizer and two different entrees.

"Our appetizer is Artichoke Francesco," said Linda Keeley, manager. "That's artichokes in white wine and vinegar. We're also going to serve 'Francesco's Specialty' -- sundried tomatoes, mushrooms and chicken in a white roasted garlic cream sauce."

Besides that, Francesco's will serve its "chicken rollatini" -- chicken rolled with Prosciutto spicy ham, mozzarella cheese and parsley in a Marsala wine sauce, Ms. Keeley said.

Other restaurants in Suncoast Sampler are Carrabba's Italian Grill, Donnelly's Main Street Cafe and Family Sports Pub, Hooters, Johnny Carino's, Outback Steak House, Pit Boss Bar-B-Q, Publix Southgate, Quista Cafe, Rossi Ristorante Italiano, Scarpo's Maryland Seafood House, Sioux City Steakhouse and Uptown Cafe and Bakery.
