LAND O'LAKES - A couple came home Sunday evening to find three men and a woman stealing from their Crosscut Road home in the Carpenter's Run subdivision.

Kishor and Maya Solanki had been visiting relatives down the street, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report said. As they walked home about 7 p.m., they noticed an unfamiliar white Honda Civic parked partly on the grass in front of their house, the report said.

As they got closer, the Solankis could see lights on in the house, even though they had turned off the lights when they left, the report said. Solanki opened the front door and started yelling to scare whoever was inside, the report said.

Mrs. Solanki later told deputies she saw three men and a woman run out the side of the house, then take off in the Honda. The burglars took an undisclosed amount of money. Deputies said a sliding window was unlocked, allowing the thieves to reach in and unlock the door.

Authorities are still looking for the burglars. Anyone with information may call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office toll-free at 1-800-854-2862.
