tribute to Columbia
There have been other sad stories since the loss of life in the
9/11 attacks, but the loss of the space shuttle Columbia has hit particularly
hard because of the hope the crew brought to people around the world about the
expanding horizons of science. Lost with the crew were, among other scientific
research, experiments from high school classes.
