Kenneth City officers to get raises

KENNETH CITY - Police officers will get a 3 percent raise under a contract unanimously approved Wednesday by the Town Council.

Under the contract, which was approved without discussion, Kenneth City's 13 officers will receive 3 percent raises for each of the three years of the contract.

Salaries for the 2004-05 fiscal year will range from about $33,359 for an entry level officer to about $58,165 for an officer with 25 years in the department.

In 2006-07, the final year of the contract, pay will range from about $34,330 for beginning officers to about $61,707 for those with 25 years in the department.
