The resolution

This is the resolution adopted by the National Baptist Convention USA on Thursday:

Be it resolved on this 17th day of July, 1997, the Board of Directors of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. and the appropriate governing authorities of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. unanimously moved and accepted the explanation of President Henry J. Lyons on issues concerning questions raised regarding the National Baptist Convention USA Inc., President Lyons, and the affairs of the convention and President Lyons raised in the media.

Be it further resolved that the board of directors of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. unanimously voted to give, and does hereby give, President Lyons a unanimous vote of confidence.

Be it further resolved that the board of directors of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc. hereby adopts this resolution as its report to be presented to the General Body of the National Baptist Convention USA Inc.
